Bio/Description

Kemal Askar is Managing Director, Head of EMEA rates Trading at Deutsche Bank. He runs a team of traders in NY, London, Frankfurt, Zurich and Tokyo, that help manage the risk of Euro, GBP, CHF and Scandinavian denominated interest rate swaps, options, FX/equity hybrids and Sovereign and supra bond transactions as well as illiquid securities.

Kemal is a 1998 graduate of Princeton University, graduated Summa Cum Laude, Operations Research, with certificates in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and the Applied and Computational Mathematics Program.

Kemal serves on numerous professional, academic and non-profit boards including Network 20/20, an international relations organization, Robert College of Istanbul, the first American school founded outside of the US. In addition, Kemal sits on the leadership council for City Harvest, a non-profit focused on fighting hunger amongst the poor and homeless in New York City, as well as the academic advisory council for Princeton University Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering.
