Professor Amir Ali Ahmadi has received the SEAS Innovation Award for his proposal titled “Nonconvex Polynomial Optimization for Machine Learning in Finance”. This grant is funded by the generous donations of Princeton alumni, parents and other donors. There are six different research areas to which a SEAS faculty member may apply. Professor Ahmadi is awarded his grant in the Machine Learning research area.

Professor Vanderbei, is the 2017 recipient of the INFORMS Optimization Society Khachiyan Prize for his lifetime achievements in the area of optimization.
