Professor Bartolomeo Stellato has been awarded a grant from the 250th Anniversary Fund for Innovation in Undergraduate Education for his proposal “Optimization: Decision-making in the age of computers” to revamp the core ORFE undergraduate class ORF 307. The award letter from Pres. Eisgruber recognizes that commitment to teaching is critical to Princeton's central mission, which seeks to enable our students to learn from scholars of the highest caliber.

Fall of 2021 will usher in the largest number of first year PhD students in the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering’s 22-year history. The 21-22 academic year will welcome 27 incoming PhD students and 1 MSE student. The yield on admits was 60%. International students are from Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Italy, Peru, Russia, Taiwan, UK and Vietnam.
