ORFE Frederick L. Moore Professor in Finance, Jianqing Fan, has been invited to deliver the 2025 Wald Memorial Award and Lectures.  Given by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), these named lectures are the highest academic honor bestowed by IMS. 

The planned topics of his two Wald Memorial Lectures are “Neural Causal AI: Adversarial Invariance Learning from Multiple Environments” and “Statistical Learning for Economics and Society”.  These lectures will be featured at the Joint Statistical Meetings, the largest gathering of statisticians held in North America, in the summer of 2025.
