Two ORFE Graduate Students Receive SEAS Award for Excellence

Dec. 6, 2021

ORFE graduate students Gokce Dayanikli and Cemil Dibek received the SEAS Award for Excellence.  Gokce, advised by Professor Rene Carmona, works on understanding emergent behavior in groups with a large number of agents and the effect of optimal incentives on this behavior by using game theory and machine learning tools.  Cemil, who was advised by Professor Amir Ali Ahmadi, has since successfully defended his Ph.D.  His research interests lie at the intersection of optimization and graph theory.  He is broadly interested in problems in polynomial optimization, combinatorial optimization, and structural graph theory.
