Professor Robert C. Hampshire *07 was appointed Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology in the Biden administration. Robert, an associate professor at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, received his Ph.D. from ORFE in 2007 and was advised by ORFE Professor William Massey.

In 2019 Robert visited ORFE to speak at the department colloquium. He spoke on Smart Cities: Data and Decision Science for Parking Management.
