Professor Ahmadi is a 2019 recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) through a nomination by the National Science Foundation. This award " is the highest honor bestowed by the U. S. government on outstanding scientists and engineers who are beginning their independent research careers and who show exceptional promise for leadership in science and technology. " Professor Ahmadi shares this great honor with three other faculty members of the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
