CAARMS Celebrates its 25th Anniversary

The 25th Conference for African American Researchers in the Mathematical Sciences or CAARMS25, which rotates between universities and research institutions across the country, was held last June at Princeton University. On the left is a group photo of the 2019 attendees. Some of the Princeton University students among the poster presenters were ORFE graduate student Emmanuel Ekwedike. He is shown in the top left photo of presenters second from the right. Also pictured on the far left of Emmanuel is ORFE alumnus and CAARMS25 symposium organizer Dr. Otis Jennings '94, VP of engineering for IvySys Technologies. Going clockwise among the poster photos, is ORFE student Nicholas Johnson '20 and then EE student Njuguna Thande '19. Featured with Njuguna is a CAARMS25 co-sponsor, Dr. James Debardelaben *93, founder and CEO of IvySys Technologies. The last poster photo is of ORFE graduate student Felix Ackon. During the past two decades, the ORFE Department has hosted CAARMS conferences 6 times. ORFE Professor William A Massey '77 was one of the founders of the CAARMS conferences and has been organizing them since 1995.
