Professor Mengdi Wang has received the Google Faculty Award for her proposal entitled “Primal-Dual Reinforcement Learning and Complexity of Markov Decision Process.” Her research in this area focuses on the foundational complexity of Markov decision process and dimension reduction methods for high-dimensional reinforcement learning. On the practical side, she is actively collaborating with Google AI and Microsoft Research on developing tractable deep reinforcement learning algorithms.
