Professor Amir Ali Ahmadi has been awarded with the 2015 Best SICON Paper Prize of the SIAM Activity Group on Control and Systems Theory. The prize is awarded every two years to the authors of the two most outstanding papers published in the SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization (SICON) in the two calendar years before the year of the award. The award is given for Ahmadi's paper (co-authored with Jungers, Parrilo, and Roozbehani) "Joint Spectral Radius and Path-Complete Graph Lyapunov Functions" SICON Vol. 52, (2014) pp. 687-717, which also appears as a chapter of Ahmadi's PhD thesis at MIT. The prize will be awarded at the 2017 SIAM Conference on Control and Its Applications.
