Professor Alain Kornhauser recently talked to the School of Engineering and Applied Science about his efforts to address a leading cause of roadway fatalities, namely, driver error. For decades, Kornhauser has worked to solve this problem through the research and development of automated driving technologies, both as founder of ALK Technologies and as an ongoing faculty advisor of the PAVE team. Now, he continues to work closely with New Jersey legislators overhauling the state’s motor vehicle rules and regulations to allow New Jersey to lead the way in welcoming automated vehicle technology.
