Prof. Alex d'Aspremont received a NSF CAREER Award effective January 1, 2009. The title of his project is "Semidefinite Programming with Applications in Statistical Learning". The CAREER Award is the most prestigious award from the NSF in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations.
