Professor Fan was on the list of the Top 10 Most-Cited Researchers in Mathematics. Jianqing was cited 768 times between 1993 and 2003. The list was featured in AmStat News, published by American Statistical Association. In addition, Jianqing has been appointed, the editor of the Annals of Statistics, effective January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2006. Jianqing has also published a new book titled Nonlinear Time Series: Nonparametric and Parametric Methods.
