Event Description

As statistical models get more and more complex, getting valid measures of uncertainty is a challenge.  I'll review some problems where traditional methods fail to yield valid inferences. Then I'll discuss two recent methods for getting confidence intervals in such cases: Universal inference an the HulC. Joint work with: Robin Dunn, Sivaraman Balakrishnan, Arun Kuchibhotla and Aaditya Ramdas.
