Congratulations to Tim Leung, who, at the completion of his Ph.D. program, is set to join the faculty as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics & Statistics, part of the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
"Tim received his Bachelor's degree magna cum laude at Cornell, majoring in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. His research interests are in Financial Mathematics, especially in the valuation of employee stock options (ESOs) and credit derivatives. "The University announced Monday that the new operations research and financial engineering (ORFE) building will be dedicated to the late Jay Sherrerd ’52, formerly a trustee of the University and a director of the Princeton Investment Company (PRINCO). ... 'There’s no one I can think of in the last 40 years who has been as dedicated and loyal to the University as Jay Sherrerd,' President Tilghman said in an interview Monday afternoon." Among the various projects is the new engineering building that will house the ORFE department.
